What’s included in the interior book design/formatting services?
Interior design for an ebook starts at $350 and $575 for a 72-page book (25,000 words). Firm project quotes are given upfront, and can vary with the complexity of the text and graphics.
Discounts are given to publishing companies and repeat clients. Unlimited one-on-one phone and email consulting is included with a book design contract.
What’s included in interior book design services:
Cleanup of the Word doc manuscript for best formatting in InDesign.
Design a sample of a few chapters; we’ll confirm approval before formatting the full PDF proof.
Full custom interior styled and set up ready for publication with the chosen printer/distributor/store.
Graphics are edited/sized by us to comply with printer and ebook distributor specs.
eBooks with active hyperlinks (bibliography links may be an additional fee).
Text corrections after formatting are included (major rewrites causing reflowing pages may incur fees).
Typical turnaround: 1–3 weeks for a print-ready proof or ebook-ready files (depends on the author review time).
The author keeps all royalties; we retain only the working book setup files.
10% discount for additional books in a series.
Final publish-ready files are delivered by email, Google Drive, or Dropbox.

Additional costs rarely arise but, once in awhile there is something else you need from our graphic designers after receiving and agreeing with the quote; such as editing or proofing or starting with a revised print book size, or starting over with a resubmitted manuscript.
